On January 19th, 2013 members of Empty Cages LA and the Anarcho Treehouse Collective held a demonstration at the Greek consulate in Los Angeles located at 12424 Wilshire Blvd. as part of an international day of solidarity with Greek Anti-Fascist. This demonstration coincided with demonstrations in Athens, London, and New York against the Greek fascist party Golden Dawn. This demonstration was also held in solidarity with the Tinly Park Five. For more information on anti-racist/ anti-fascist organizing in North America check out ARA.

During the demonstration the activists stormed past building security and into the elevator to visit the consulate on the 8th floor. Unfortunately the consulate doors were closed and locked (most likely to avoid the antifa).
Chants of “Smash the Greek Fascist Party! Smash the Golden Dawn!” and “Stop the Killing Stop the Pain! Golden Dawn is to Blame!” could be heard throughout the building as activists marched through the halls and lobby holding signs, banners, and anti-fascist action and anarchist flags.

Always Anti-speciesist, always anti-fascist!

March Against Monsanto, a global day of action to raise awareness of the multifaceted crimes against nature and ecocide Monsanto has committed, including genetically-modified foods, wholesale killing of non-invasive insect species with pesticides, domination of the seed industry, and their purchasing of politicians.

Monsanto is a seed and pesticide monopoly based in St Louis MO

A week before the day of action, one or a few reactionary cowboy liberals sent out a press release, without international organizers’ consensus, stating, “We would like to remind everyone that MAM does not support violence or aggression towards property or people. Please be warned if you are an instigator you will not be tolerated at our march and we our organizers will ask you to stop or leave. If you continue we ourselves will politely and calmly ask a Police officer to remove you.”

Soon after this breach of trust, a call and response went out asking for further anarchist participation in marches. A couple days later, a retraction of the unagreed upon presser was issued from international organizers of MAM—one from Missouri, one from Greece, and passed consensus within the organizing body.

The Kansas City march against Monsanto estimates varied between 2000 from an organizer headcount to 500 from the police reporting to press.
